The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has urged the Federal Government not to praise teachers on World Teachers' Day and neglect them for the rest of the year. In a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication of his campaign council, Atiku paid tribute to teachers and recalled his early teachers in Jada, Adamawa State. He criticised the rising cost of living and promised policies to make life more affordable for teachers if elected.
