LAGOS — The 1986 set of the Accountancy Alumni Association of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has spent about N100 million renovating the college's School of Financial Studies to mark 40 years since graduation. The work covered classrooms, a resource centre, windows and doors, plumbing, toilets, drainage and water supply. The alumni also provided computers, a printer and internet access. The Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Funso Afolabi, commended the set and urged them to keep mentoring students. The Rector, Dr Ibraheem Abdul, encouraged other alumni groups to follow the example. The association's president, Mrs Itunu Omotayo, said the set was admitted in 1981 and graduated in 1986.
