ABEOKUTA — The Senator representing Ogun Central, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, has urged students to reject the idea that education is a scam. Salisu, who chairs the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, spoke at the annual SAS Omoyayi Educational Support Programme at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta. He said education remains a key path to success. The Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, and the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide, also addressed the students. The state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Noah Sewakanu, urged students to make good use of the learning materials they received.
