ABUJA — The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) was restored on Sunday, September 27, after an outage. In its weekly bulletin, the board blamed the disruption on an administrative problem with its hosting provider and apologised to institutions and candidates. JAMB set the deadlines for 2026/2027 admissions as October 31 for public universities, November 30 for private universities and December 31 for other tertiary institutions. It urged institutions to speed up admissions now that NECO results have been released, and asked candidates to upload or verify their results. The board said it would introduce alternative systems to limit future disruptions.
