YOLA — The Adamawa State Government has suspended Mr Birsan Penuel, Executive Secretary of the Post Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB), over alleged irregularities in the performance of his duties. The suspension was announced on Sunday by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The most senior director of the board will oversee its affairs pending the outcome of an investigation. The government said it remained committed to the education sector, citing seven years of teacher recruitment, classroom construction and regular payment of salaries.
