ZARIA — Former Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Jelani Aliyu, has urged students of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, to drive Nigeria's industrial revolution. Aliyu, a former designer at General Motors, spoke at the launch of ABU's 'Create Before You Graduate' programme. He told students to focus on creating solutions and value rather than simply collecting certificates. He noted that Nigeria depends heavily on imported manufactured goods, and said the programme will help students discover their talents and solve real problems. He called for massive industrialisation and innovation.
