ABUJA — The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates to accept or reject admission offers made from 2021 to date, moving it from August 31 to September 30. The board's spokesman, Dr Fabian Benjamin, announced the change in a statement on Saturday, describing the new date as the final opportunity for affected candidates. The extension applies to regular admission offers as well as offers under the Certificate of International Institutions Admission (CUIIA). Candidates who accept their offers will be able to print their admission letters, while rejected offers will revert to 'Not Admitted'. JAMB advised candidates who are no longer at the institution that offered them admission to first accept the offer and then apply for correction or deletion. Students pursuing a second degree who still have an old offer pending were told to reject it. The board assured candidates that rejecting an old offer would not affect any admission they may receive in the 2026 exercise. After September 30, all offers that have not been acted upon will be changed to 'Not Admitted' and will no longer be valid. Candidates are urged to log in to the JAMB portal before the deadline to regularise their status.
