LAGOS — An audio recording said to feature Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has stirred heated debate on social media this week. The clip, which runs for about 11 minutes, allegedly captures a conversation between the actress and a TikTok fan known as Bisgold. In the recording, mostly in Yoruba and pidgin, the fan is heard repeatedly insulting actress Funke Akindele, while the voice said to be Abraham's laughs and does not stop her. Other names in the entertainment industry, including Iyabo Ojo, Itele and Kemity, are also mentioned in the conversation. Abraham has not issued a direct statement on the recording. On Thursday, however, she reposted a defence of her written by an Instagram influencer, Bukky Majek. Neither Abraham nor Akindele, nor their representatives, has confirmed whether the recording is genuine or explained the context in which it was made. The episode has revived attention on reported tension between the two actresses, which became public at the premiere of Iyabo Ojo's film 'The Return of Labake Olododo'. Reactions online remain divided, with some users criticising the content of the conversation and others urging caution until the recording is verified.
